Cookies

We use so-called cookies on our website to recognise when the same internet connection holder uses our service multiple times. Cookies are small text files that your internet browser stores on your computer. They are used to optimise our website and our services. These are so-called ‘session cookies’, which are deleted once your visit has ended.

In some cases, however, these cookies also provide information that allows us to recognise you automatically. This recognition is based on the IP address stored in the cookies. The information obtained in this way is used to optimise our services and to make it easier for you to access our website.

You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser settings accordingly. However, this may mean that certain functions of our website cannot be used to their full extent.

Server data

For technical reasons, the following data in particular, which your internet browser transmits to us or to our web hosting provider, is recorded (so-called server log files): browser type and version, operating system used, date and time of your visit, and your IP address.

This anonymous data is stored separately from any personal data you may have provided and therefore does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about a specific individual. It is analysed for statistical purposes to enable us to optimise our website and our services.

Contact details

Our website offers you the option of contacting us by email and/or via a contact form. In such cases, the information provided by the user is stored for the purpose of processing their enquiry. The data will not be passed on to third parties. Furthermore, the data collected in this way will not be cross-referenced with data that may be collected by other components of our website.

Use of Google Analytics with the anonymisation feature

We use Google Analytics on our website, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, hereinafter referred to as “Google”. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, which are text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website.

The information generated by these cookies, such as the time, location and frequency of your visits to the website, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google in the USA and stored there.

We use Google Analytics on our website with an IP anonymisation function. In this case, your IP address is truncated by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, thereby rendering it anonymous.

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our site, to compile reports on website activity for us, and to provide other services relating to website and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required by law or where such third parties process the data on Google’s behalf.

According to Google, it will under no circumstances link your IP address with any other data held by Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser settings accordingly; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to make full use of all the features of our website.

Furthermore, Google offers an opt-out option for the most common browsers, which gives you more control over which data is collected and processed by Google. If you activate this option, no information regarding your visit to the website will be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, activation does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services we may use. Further information on the opt-out option provided by Google and on how to activate this option can be found via the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Use of Google AdWords

We use the Google advertising tool ‘Google AdWords’ to promote our website. As part of this, we use the ‘Conversion Tracking’ analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, hereinafter referred to as ‘Google’, on our website. If you have arrived at our website via a Google advert, a cookie will be stored on your computer. Cookies are small text files that your internet browser stores on your computer. These so-called “conversion cookies” expire after 30 days and are not used to identify you personally. If you visit certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognise that you, as a user, clicked on one of our adverts placed on Google and were redirected to our site.

The information collected using ‘conversion cookies’ is used by Google to compile visitor statistics for our website. These statistics tell us the total number of users who clicked on our advert and also which pages of our website were subsequently visited by each user. However, neither we nor other advertisers using ‘Google AdWords’ receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

You can prevent the installation of ‘conversion cookies’ by adjusting your browser settings accordingly, for example by selecting a setting that generally disables the automatic setting of cookies or specifically blocks cookies from the domain ‘googleadservices.com’.

You can find Google’s privacy policy on this matter at the following link: https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html.

Use of Google Maps

We use the ‘Google Maps’ component provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, hereinafter referred to as ‘Google’, on our website. Each time the ‘Google Maps’ component is accessed, Google sets a cookie to process user settings and data when the page on which the ‘Google Maps’ component is integrated is displayed. This cookie is not usually deleted when you close your browser, but expires after a certain period of time, unless you delete it manually beforehand.

If you do not consent to this processing of your data, you have the option to deactivate the “Google Maps” service and thereby prevent the transfer of data to Google. To do this, you must disable the JavaScript function in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you will not be able to use Google Maps, or will only be able to use it to a limited extent.

The use of Google Maps and the information obtained through it is subject to Google’s Terms of Service, available at http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/terms/regional.html, and the Google Maps Terms of Service, available at https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html.

Use of Google reCAPTCHA

We use Google Invisible reCAPTCHA to protect our website against automated abuse (bots and spam). In this process, technical data such as IP address, browser information, and usage behaviour is processed by Google. As the operator of this website, we are the controller within the meaning of data protection law for the data collected by reCAPTCHA. Google processes this data exclusively on our behalf in accordance with the Google Cloud Terms of Service and the Cloud Data Processing Addendum.

For data transfers to the United States, we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the Standard Contractual Clauses recognised by the European Commission.

For more information on the data processed by Google in connection with reCAPTCHA, please refer to the Google Cloud Terms of Service and the Cloud Data Processing Addendum.

Information/Withdrawal/Deletion

If you have any questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal data, or regarding the rectification, restriction, erasure or withdrawal of consent, you may contact us free of charge. Please note that you have the right to have incorrect data rectified or personal data erased, provided that this is not prevented by a statutory retention obligation.
