toolmaking facility and state-of-the-art injection molding production.We manufacture tools and plastic parts, including assembled components, with the highest precision and quality.
Thanks to our many years of experience, we support our customers from the initial idea through project planning to
the finished plastic part—reliably, competently, and all from a single source.

Core Competence

Pfister Werkzeugbau und Kunststofftechnik AG – We develop and manufacture high-precision injection moulds, as
well as turning moulds, insert moulds and multi-cavity moulds, and produce them in our own injection moulding
facility with clamping forces ranging from 35 to 180 tonnes.

We process all thermoplastics (PE, PP, PA, POM, PC, ABS) with reinforcements, flame retardants, colours or
additives, and specialise in the processing of high-performance plastics (PEEK, LCP, PPS, PSU, PVDF), multicomponent technology (2K/3K), biomaterials, metal overmoulding and 3D printing (SLS) for prototypes and
development phases – all from a single source, with precision and reliability.

The early years

  • 1968 – Die-sinking EDM becomes a core competence and the tool and mould making division is established in
    Wallisellen/ZH

  • 1970 – The company relocates to Wangen/ZH

  • 1971 – Development and market launch of our own product, Duoschliff

  • 1978 – Move into new premises in Egg/ZH

  • 1978 – 10th company anniversary

  • 1980 – Introduction of in-house wire EDM

  • 1984 – Establishment of the plastic injection moulding division and expansion of the business

  • 1988 – 20th company anniversary

  • 1998 – 30th company anniversary

 


 

Growth and expansion

  • 2001 – Inauguration of the new premises in Mönchaltorf with 2,500 m² of production, storage and office space

  • 2002 – Expansion of the HSC milling department; 3- and 5-axis milling centres

  • 2008 – 40th company anniversary

 


 

Technological progress and modernisation

  • 2011 – Installation of the Genius 700 automatic EDM machine with the ‘Chameleon’ handling system for fully
    automatic feeding of workpieces and electrodes

  • 2012 – Modernisation of the HSC milling department with 5-axis technology and the “Röders + RC” automated
    workpiece feeding system; replacement of the compressed air and cooling water systems with energy-efficient
    systems

  • 2013 – Replacement of old injection moulding machines with two energy-efficient ENGEL machines

  • 2013 – 45th anniversary celebration in Berlin with the entire workforce

  • 2014 – Expansion of the toolmaking department with new wire-cutting and turning machines, as well as the
    replacement of further injection moulding machines with three energy

  • 2014 – ISO 9001:2008 certification

  • 2016 – Acquisition of an ENGEL 120-tonne injection moulding machine featuring state-of-the-art technology

  • 2017 – ISO 9001:2015 recertification


 

Investments, automation and sustainability

  • 2018 – Extensive investments

    • Two new ENGEL 50t injection moulding machines with VIPER handling

    • Processing of bioplastics on in-house equipment

    • Modernisation of toolmaking with a Hermle C400 machining centre

    • Expansion of storage space by 1,500 m²

    • 50th anniversary celebrations in Barcelona with the entire workforce

  • 2019 – Expansion of the business segment through multi-component injection moulding

    • Implementation of measures to reduce CO₂ emissions (Scope 1 and 2) and conversion to LED lighting

    • Purchase of a Hermle C32U 5-axis milling machine

    • Capacity expansion with a new Arburg ALLROUNDER 370 A

    • Reduction in electricity consumption by 10% through investments of CHF 400,000 in more efficient production
